7 Favorite Foods We Tried at the Taste of Chicago

Mmmmm, the Taste of Chicago.

We came.
We saw.
We ate.
We conquered and waddled home.

That pretty much sums up what Lisa and I did at the Taste of Chicago. When we were invited to attend we decided it was a perfect Saturday to do so.

Upon arriving we grabbed our media packet and mapped out our plan of attack – for which foods to taste. The provided list of tasting samples included a wide variety (and some interesting delicacies… rattlesnake and rabbit sausage?!) and so we set off to test our stomach capabilities. To recap our eats of the day:

#1. Pulled Pork BBQ sliders from Miller’s Pub

#2. Chicken & Cheese; Steak & Cheese Sandwich Mini from Gino’s Steaks (food truck)

#3. Belgian Fries from Bruges Brothers (food truck)

#4. Peach Cobbler and Lemon Sorbet from Caffe Gelato

#5. Baowich and Kimcheesey Rice Balls from Yum Dum (food truck)

#6. Creme Brulee; Birthday Cake Mini Cupcakes from Chicago Cupcake (food truck)

#7. Avocado Toast and Watermelon Gazpacho from Farmer’s Fridge
